ClearPath Protection ("ClearPath", "we", "us", "our") provides vehicle warranty and protection products in the UK. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website or request a quote, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

What information we collect

When you request a quote or contact us, we collect:

• Your full name
• Email address
• Mobile number
• Vehicle registration number
• Whether you've agreed to marketing communications

We do not collect payment card details, bank details, or other sensitive financial information through this website.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Provide you with a quote and follow up on your enquiry
• Set up and administer your policy if you go ahead with cover
• Contact you about your policy, including renewals and claims
• Send you marketing communications about our products, only if you've opted in to receive them
• Meet our legal and regulatory obligations

Who we share it with

We share your information with:

• HubSpot, our customer relationship management (CRM) platform, used to manage enquiries and communications
• Any underwriter, administrator or Principal firm involved in providing your cover, where you proceed with a policy
• Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram), to measure our adverts and build advertising audiences. Based on our legitimate interests, we may securely upload the contact details (such as email address and phone number) of people who have enquired with or bought from us. These are converted into a coded (hashed) form in your browser before upload, used by Meta only to match them to Facebook and Instagram accounts, and then deleted. This lets us avoid showing adverts to existing customers and show them to people with similar interests. You can object at any time by contacting us, and you can manage your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the basis of: performance of a contract (or steps to enter one, such as providing a quote), our legitimate interests in running and improving our business, your consent (for marketing communications), and compliance with legal obligations.

How long we keep your data

We keep quote enquiry data for as long as reasonably necessary to follow up with you, and policy-related data for the duration of your policy plus a period afterwards to meet legal, accounting and regulatory requirements. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, subject to any legal obligation we have to retain it.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to or restrict certain processing
