What's covered on your MG

How long is the MG warranty?

Seven years or 80,000 miles, whichever comes first. Terms for the high-voltage battery on electric models are set out separately by MG.

Can I reach the mileage cap before seven years?

Easily, if you cover big miles. Anyone driving more than about 11,500 miles a year will reach 80,000 miles before the seven years are up, and the factory warranty ends at whichever limit comes first.

Are MGs reliable?

MG isn't among the 25 manufacturers in the DVSA 2024 figures on our Reliability Hub, so we don't quote an MOT pass rate for it. Most UK MGs are still relatively young.

Can I cover an electric or hybrid MG?
